    Sour Times Empty Sour Times

    Post by Friedrich Fri 15 Jan 2010 - 14:01

    Hey folks,

I've been wanting to run a LARP for a year and a half and have decided that it is now or never. I was going to have my tabletop game go LARP, but as the three year anniversary approaches, I realise that will never happen. Instead I have gotten permission from Trent to run a Kingdom Come LARP in Saskatoon. If you are interested in the details, here is the link to the post on the SLARPA forums:

    http://www.slarpa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1163

I know that with the game being out of town it may not be feasible for all of you to play, but you are definitely welcome.

    Alan

Awesome to already see such interest from you guys. Sour Times should be pretty rocking. And us Saskatoonians are always glad to see you guys up here. Smile

(And remember, when in doubt, you want a character connection with the Deisticial Prelate. Because he will be awesome. Because he will be played by me. Wink )

I have an exciting announcement. (To me, at least.) Trent's pairing of Faith with Envy and Hope with Pride has always bothered me and so I asked if he would mind if I paired Faith with Pride and Hope with Envy for Sour Times. I just got an answer.

    He said yes!

It is not so much a house rule as a setting change that he has approved so that he can see how it works. Apparently I'm not the first to mention this to him. :)

This makes me very, very happy.

On another note, if you are interested in playing and haven't already sent an email to sour.times.kc@gmail.com could you please do so? The contact list is how I am keeping track of interest in the game and how I will be sending out announcements as things progress and character backgrounds change the flavour of the city -- after all, you have all supposedly been there for a while so it makes sense that you have left your mark. As well, if you have any inkling as to whether you would like to play Infernal or Divine (sorry, the Deistical are filled up for now), please let me know that too so I have an idea of the balance of the sides.

Thanks already for the interest shown in this thread. I wasn't sure people would want to drive up for a game. I hope that the carpooling arrangements work out. :)

Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan!

I'd like to play in Sour Times!

(I keep referring to it as "Sour Grapes", which makes me giggle)

Remember that time we were talking about this, and you said I could play Jesus AND His brother Lucifer!? Do you remember that time? And we talked about how I could have a ferret-powered railgun? And do you remember the time you said that I could start the game with ANYTHING I WANTED, and I said I wanted the Arc of the Covenant? And you said "We-elll, okay"? Remember that?!? And then...and then...and thenandthen you said "as long as the Arc of the Covenant is made entirely of dark chocolate", and I said I COULD DO THAT!!!? Do you remember that!!???

    Oooooh, I'm so excited!

(also, I have had Too Much Coffee today)

Jill! Jill! Jill! Jill! Jill! Jill! Jill!

About all those stuffs and things... I changed my mind. Instead you can have Lucifer's breastbone as an artifact, but it has to be made entirely of water, at room temperature. And it has to be constantly gnawed on by albino jackals to make it work. And they must each be the triplet offspring of a Nephilim/Jackal pairing. (Yay conjoined triplets!) And they must fart "O Come All Ye Faithful" whenever you are near by.

    I'm also excited.

(also, I have had Too Much Sugar this morning)
